The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
