The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
