The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
