Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
