The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
