Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
