The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
