The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
