The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
