Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
