The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
