The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
