The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
