Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
