The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
