The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
