Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allah), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace). 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 well arranged goblets, 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 However, as for him who turns away, being bent on denying the truth, 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26
