Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In the high empyrean, 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 and couches raised high, 13 And chosen goblets. 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
