Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 In a high Garden 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 well arranged goblets, 14 And cushions set in a row, 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 To Us they will all return. 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
