Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a Garden on high, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 And cups put in place 14 and cushions arrayed 15 and carpets spread out. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
