Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 and couches raised high, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
