Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In a high Garden 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 you are not their keeper. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
