Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26
