The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour; 1 and the moon as it reflects the sun! 2 And by oath of the day when it reveals it 3 And the night when it draws a veil over it, 4 And by the heaven and Him Who built it; 5 The earth and its spreading out, 6 And the soul and Him Who made it perfect, 7 then inspired it to understand what was right and wrong for it. 8 To a happy state shall indeed attain he who causes this [self] to grow in purity, 9 and failed has he who seduces it. 10 Thamud belied in their exorbitance. 11 When the most wretched of them was sent forth. 12 The Messenger of God told them, "This is a she-camel, belonging to God. Do not deprive her of her share of water". 13 In response they belied him, and hamstrung the she camel so Allah put ruin over them because of their sins and flattened their dwellings. 14 And He does not fear the consequence thereof. 15
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
