The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sun and his brightness, 1 By the moon when it followeth it, 2 and by the day as it displays the sun's glory, 3 By the Night as it conceals it; 4 And by oath of the heaven and by oath of Him Who made it. 5 by the earth and Who spread it, 6 And the soul and Him Who made it perfect, 7 And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness, 8 He who purifies it will indeed be successful, 9 And he will indeed fail who corrupts it. 10 Samood gave the lie (to the truth) in their inordinacy, 11 when the most corrupt of them incited them (to commit evil). 12 although God's apostle had told them, "It is a she-camel belonging to God, so let her drink [and do her no harm]!" 13 But they called him a liar and slaughtered her, therefore their Lord crushed them for their sin and levelled them (with the ground). 14 And He (Allah) feared not the consequences thereof. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
