The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 and That which created the male and the female, 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 But save him who fears 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 only seeking the Face of his Lord the Most High; 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
