The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the night when it covers 1 And the day when it shines in brightness, 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. 5 And affirms goodness, 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 and he belied the finest 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). 11 Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
Almighty God's Truth.
