The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 And accepts the best, 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 And gives the lie to the best,- 9 We shall surely ease him to the Hardship; 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous - see V. 2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell). 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
