Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
