The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
