Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
