The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
