The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
