The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning brightness, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
