Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
