The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 and the brooding night! 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
