The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the bright forenoon, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
