The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning brightness, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
