The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
