Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
