The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midmorning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
