Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the bright forenoon, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
