Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
