The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
