The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the morning hours 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
