Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
