The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and the brooding night! 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
