Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
