Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
