The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
